Walter RidleyWALTER RIDLEY is the founder, President & CEO of The Ridley Group and Associates, LLC. His extensive work history covers service as a Warden, Parole Board Chair, Deputy Director and Director of Corrections in the District of Columbia and Church Administrator. With more than 44 years of public service and undaunted commitment to human service and community ministry, Mr. Ridley understands inter agency relations and the complex workings of the Federal, State and Local Governments. Mr. Ridley is a frequent lecturer, speaker, consultant and instructor of criminal justice and public safety issues. For his outstanding contributions to corrections, Mr. Ridley was awarded the highest honor in American Corrections, the E.R. Cass Correctional Achievement Award in 2006.

Ghia Ridley

GHIAGHIA RIDLEY, Chief Operating Officer, has more than 18 years of experience in the Criminal Justice, Corrections, Mental Health and Juvenile Justice Fields providing services ranging from direct care to leadership. During her 13 year tenure with the State of Maryland Department of Juvenile Services she served as Case Manager, Sr. Investigator, Court Liaison, Trainer, Facility Advisory Board Coordinator, Special Assistant to the Deputy Secretary, Sr. Manager/Chief of Staff and Director of Behavioral Health. As COO, guided by TRGA’s Core Values Ms. Ridley provides the leadership necessary to ensure proper operational controls, administrative, reporting procedures and people systems are in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure operational efficiency. She is a motivational speaker, provides correctional consulting, a cross section of training and workshop facilitation. Ms. Ridley holds a B.A. Criminal Justice (North Carolina Central University), M.A. Counseling Psychology (Bowie State University), National Certification in Anger Management and Domestic Violence from the National Anger Management Association.

John Bellassai

JOHN_BELLASSAIJOHN BELLASSAI, Senior Consultant, possesses extensive experience working with federal, state and local government agencies–courts and community corrections agencies, drug and alcohol treatment and prevention providers, and numerous community-based organizations–around issues of law and justice, public health and substance abuse, and housing and community development. A graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Bellassai is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the American Bar Association (ABA) and its Committee on Alternatives to Incarceration & Diversion, the American Evaluation Association (AEA), the National Association of Pretrial Services Agencies (NAPSA), and the American Public Health Association (APHA). A graduate of the U.S. Army’s Military Police School at Fort Gordon, GA, he served as a Reserve Officer in the U.S. Army, Military Police Corps, advancing to the rank of Captain.

Liz Matory

Carlanda HattonLIZ MATORY advises organizations and individuals on how to achieve their mission and community goals through evident and unforeseen challenges. As a member of the team, advocates for criminal justice reform, harm reduction related to chemical dependency, and adult reading literacy on the local, state, and national level. She earned a Master in Business Administration from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.  She received her J.D. from Howard University School of Law and B.A. from Columbia University. Liz is a member of the New York State Bar.
